i see lots of TA03F belts (the hop-up aramid reinfored type) on
eBay....but i'm building a TA03R.

will the TA03F belt work on a TA03R chassis?

i would think it's the same belt for either chassis.
could someone confirm this?

thanks in advance.

According to the parts listings for a TA03F and TA03R, available on the
TamiyaUSA site, the standard drive belt has the same part number for both,
so logically  the aramid re-inforced belt should fit either chassis.

i just saw that in the copy of the guide book i have.  can't believe i
didn't think to look in there.

well, this means i can order all the stuff to convert a TA03F to R,
from Tamiya.

thanks to all for the info.

Having a look here:

http://www.rocousa.com/tamiya/TA03.htm

There is a long (TA03 Fiber Drive Belt (long) Item # TA53267) and short
(TA03R-S Aramid Fiber Drive Belt (short) Item # TA53297) belt.

I don't own either of these but hopefully this has helped you out.

Cheers
Richard

To add a little more to this from what I read in the specifications on the
Tamiya US site between the F and the R or RS chassis's is that the F chassis
has a wheel base of 257mm and the R chassis has a wheel base of 237mm hence
the long and short belts.

Cheers

couldn't edit the previous reply.  both of the "S" models have the 239
wheelbase and the TA03F and TA03R have the 257 wheelbase.

these two belts listed are actually for two different versions of the
TA03 chassis.

the long belt is for the TA03F (and from the replys here) also for the
TA03R chassis.

the short is for the short wheelbase versions of each (designated by
the suffix "S"), TA03R-S and TA03F-S.
