Who offers the fastest RTR car? How fast would an expected speed be on black
top?

Do you mean set the thing down and go in a straight line forward and not
do any turns?

Or do you mean have the vehicle have to race some kind of course or
track that has curves?

For road courses, the Power Racing Product XR80. It is competitive too. Does
80 mph out of the box.

Get one from your local hobby shop, one that they stock parts for.
At speeds like that, you will biff a few curbs, flip and roll, cartwheel,
ect.
You will need replacement parts, get a car you can repair easily.

Ed

In addition to those already mentioned, there is a Schumacher road car which
is right up there as well.

For the record, I have a Nitro Rustler, which is probably one of the fastest
RTR off road vehicles in a straight line ever made, I would expect second
only to the Schumacher Menace. And I have to say that once the initial "wow"
factor wears off, I don't find much interest in its straight-line top speed.

But of course, that's just me:-)

Yeah, and I think I read a mag article about a 70mph stadium truck
from Schu, also.

Schumacher Menace.  In my opinion pointless:

- very few places you can utilise its main differentiator (top speed)
- less capable at plain bashing than plenty of others for similar or less
price
- not raceable

So once the thrill of high speed straight line running wears off (pretty
quickly in my case) you have a truck which doesn't bash as well as plenty of
others, can't be raced, and you probably wonder why you didn't by a monster
truck, 1/8th buggy or 2wd small block stadium truck .....

But that's just me, and if you have a Menace and love it, good luck to you,
and tell the group what you enjoy about it!
