Which is better built as far as quality ? Which would be better for a
homebuilt track in the backyard with a few other guys just playing around ?
One has a T-Maxx,Ofna Buggy,HPI stadium Truck, and some others. This is what
I would be running with.
Any ideas of which would keep up better ?
Thanks,

The Rustler could keep up with the T-Maxx, and the HPI. You would need
some skill to compete with the ofna buggy, because of the horsepower to
weight ratio, and the 4wd advantage. The Nitro Sport will be a
disappointment next to the other cars you mentioned.
You might just wait for the new Traxxas JATO, which will replace the
Rustler in a few months.
See it at www.traxxas.com

The Nitro Rustler will totally smoke all the others you mention IF (and it
is a *very* big if) you have the skills to drive it. Getting the most out of
a 1/10th 2wd stadium truck takes a lot of skill, and the NR is one of the
hardest to drive straight I believe.
If its grass, or sealed you will have no trouble, if its dirt or anything
loose, you will need to experiment with tyres (at least).
But in straight acceleration and top speed, the NR will kill those others
(and just about anything else on dirt for that matter).

About the same.
The NS costs much less, and has less brute power (which is probably a
good thing).
I don't know if the NS has a 2055 servo for steering; if not, go ahead
and upgrade or you'll be buying servo gears every weekend.

Depends. The NR has a lot more speed, but can be a handful for relative
beginners. I think the Sport is a more balanced truck and might actually
be faster at the track; fewer spinouts, fewer wheelie-flips.
Of course, if you want to keep up with that 1/8th buggy you'll probably
have to wait for JATO. :-)

How well groomed is the homebuilt track?
Lots of bumps ruts not very smooth or is it very smooth?
A 1/10 ST like the N Rustler will get bounced around more so than a
maxx or 1/8 buggy due to being lighter so its speed wont mean much.
Really if you are just running around a track and not actually
comepeting my opinion would be to get a monster truck or 4wd 1/8 buggy.

It is well groomed, so how about a nitro stampede ? Are they any good ? How
would they compare to the others I would be "racing" against ?
Thanks,

Nitro Stampede is going to be horrible, competing against those other
vehicles. I have an electric stampede, and it's a hoot on the grass and
other non-track situations. A stampede will NEVER be able to compete
on the race-track though.

2wd Stadium Maxx would be much better than the N Stampede only about $30

Bingo. I didn't even think of that.

That platform is unsuited for track use, IMO. Great fun for bashing.
Mine's a real beater.

I love my Nitro Stampede. Pretty durable, and it's light weight makes
it a great jumper.
But it's a challenge to keep the nose on the ground, even with just
the stock Pro.15. I tried a 2.5 in there, and it was undriveable.
If you just want a 2wd truck, consider an S-maxx or a Sport Maxx if
your hobby shop still has any lying around. Parts a plenty, and very
driveable.
(Also, not to be a net nazi, but could you please not top post? It
makes it hard to reply.)
