The Stinger motor wore out in my Stampede, so I mined info from
this site and put in a Speed Gem 2 "Acornite" 19 turn motor. It is
much faster, even putting my Emaxx to the test. Not quite as fast, but
very close when the Emaxx stays in low gear. About the same run time,
maybe a little more. It is very squirrly though, the back wheels light
up with just a touch of throttle. When it hooks up though, it is gone.
No problems with the ESC or Transmission. Dan

I would upgrad the tires. The stock tires have poor traction. In the
dirt, the stock tires make the pede almost undrivable I have the Masher
2000's and the traction is 100X better.

That's a good idea, it is almost undrivable in the dirt. Dan

Went to a park this weekend with the pede. Those Masher 2000's are
killer. Went up a loose sandstone bank that was super steep with no
problems.

Yeah, upgrading the 'pede motor is a great way to have fun.
I kind of like the non-grippy tires. Good for drifting when you've
got some motor behind them. :-)

I thought that too, but at some point you want to use some of that
torque and not just slide around in circles.
FWIW, I run stock tires on the front most of the time. This lets me
slide a bit but also helps with cartwheeling.
