Thinking of getting in 1/8th buggy racing.  So far I have had nothing but
bad luck with nitro so I am really not sure if I want to make the plunge.  I
would not even consider it but I have been told that the 1/8 buggies are
easier to keep running then the T-Maxx I had.  The local track/shop now
carries the RD Logics SHO and sells them for $300 new.  They are RTR and the
specs look good on paper.  They also plan to stock the parts for them.  If I
am going to try the class, I would rather try it in the cheapest buggy I can
find.  Is $300 for a 1/8 RTR to good to be true?

It looked pretty good when I was checking it out in the store, but I can't
tell strong metal from weak just by looking.  Can't find any reviews on the
web either.  Anybody have any experience with one either bashing or racing?
I should say I can't drive worth a damn so I am more worried about finishing
and saving money on parts then squeezing the last drop of handling from the
car.  I just want to be able to drive it without fighting super-poor
handling.  I heard there are some very good reviews coming out in some mags
in the future, but I was told that by a salesperson who heard it from the RD
Logics rep.  Do they hold up?  Every vehicle has a weakness, what the SHOs?
Is it able to get around a track or does it handle like a brick?

"That's it, I am running an Mini-T in the nitro monster class.  It will be
easier then pulling over to let all the Revo's pass all the time, you can
just drive over me." -Me after less then good luck with my T-Maxx.

Somebody bought the one I had been looking at.  He was leading with it until
the last race but it broke.  Both of his rear axles have sheared pins in the
CVDs now.  Once replaced with Sportwerks parts it has ceased to be a
problem.  So far all that have seen it have been impressed with how nice it
is considering the cost.  I will have to see how it does on our new big
outdoor track this weekend.
