I want to hop-up my Tamiya Blitzer Beetle with the universal shaft art nr
53028 as pictured on the box. However, this article is discontinued by
Tamiya. I was wondering if there is a substitute, an other universal shaft
later made by Tamiya that fits the Blitzer Beetle (or Stadium Blitzer, which
is basicly the same verhicle).
Any suggestions?

Keep an eye on eBay. Tamiya parts are always showing up.
If you really want to "hop-up" the Blitzer I would suggest taking the
receiver and putting a new vehicle around it. I got tired of fixing my
Blitzer so I parted it out on eBay and bought a Stampede. On the Blitzer we
busted the shocks, broke the wheels and various other parts. I could not
find much in the way of hop-ups. I was not looking to race, but I hated
putting parts back on that already proved to be weak. The Stampede has
taken a lot more abuse and is a lot easier to hop-up. I also have a Rustler
and it has proven to be just as tough as the Stampede and regularly can be
found racing at the local track in the Beginner's class.
