Does the Tamiya Sports Tuned RS 540 motor bring any advantages above the stock 540 motor as supplied with the Blitzer Beetle kit?

The Sport Tuned motor is a 23 turn motor rather than 27 turn like the stock
540 motor, so you should see more speed.  However, with reference to your
other thread, get an F/R esc first.  If you want Tamiya, the TEU-101BK is a
nice little number that will easily handle the Sport Tuned motor.

Yeah, but Tamiya seems to be rather expensive, maybe I'll buy a Carson
Speed.

Depends on your opinion of expensive I suppose.  There are plenty of them on
ebay at what seem to be reasonable prices.
