Megatech M16 won't run

Hello all,

I have two Megatech M16 motors (.16, 1HP) that will not start.  I have both
of them bench-mounted and have tried every thing I can think of.  I know the
fuel and glow plug are good.  Fuel is moving thru the engine (and out the
exhaust) and I've tried every conceivable needle setting to get it to at
least pop.

I can't even get a single pop out of them.  I'm using a cordless drill to
turn the starter bolt and can get them up to 200 RPM or so.  Backplates are
snug, carbs are snug, no compression leaks from what I can tell.  There is
no conceivable reason the motors should not start!

HELP!

Thanks in advance,

Doc

Would you be near Arkansas, by any chance?

Oh yeah, and have you tried a fresh glow plug yet?

A brand spankin new one, no I haven't.  But I've tried two others I had
laying around, both of which will start and run my other motor on 3 pulls or
so.

I'm gunna call Megatech and see if they have an engine exchange program, so
I can unload the M16 and get a Q1.6 or M21.

Flooded?..Remove the glowplug and turn over and get out excess fuel
...replace the plug and try again....... (make sure plug is good as well as
ignitor)...

Do you have a pipe attached to them?  I'm not sure they will run well
without a pipe.  Just a thought.

Ripped em' apart yesterday; pistons are chewed all to hell.  Dunno how that
happened; used Trinity 20/12 and 20/18, fuel filter, new air filter and
broke in properly.  Didn't overheat AFAIK.

Tear the motors down! here the piston has a port for the exhuast has to
be filed and or sanded. If your glow plug is all crudded up,then your
piston casting has been flawed in its manufacture.Clean up the flaws!
