I just installed some aluminum diff cases and was curious if any one using
them or even the factory ones has a samll bit of slack in them in the
bulkhead.
I dont remember how snug the factory ones were but it seemed they didnt
move.
These that I installed move side to side about a half of a centimeter as
well as up and down about a half of a centimeter. Is this common or will it
tear up some gears?

Seems this is normal, according to the manufacturer of the diff cases...

If you are talking about the outdrive shafts, that play will go away
once you install the outdrives. I have a GalliMods setup on mine
and I had the same thoughts when I installed the new diff housings.
