I used a Traxxas Rustler diff for a centre diff in my crawler. A good way to
lock these things up is to undo the diff and totally stuff the inside of the
case around the gears, everywhere with Blue Tack. Be aggressive and really
shove it in everywhere, then button the diff up and she'll be locked. You
can also do this with hot glue or epoxy resin (eg JB Weld a lot of people
use), but I like the Blue Tack because:
(a) You can take it out if it turns out to be a bad idea
(b) You can tune it (a bit) by removing Blue Tack

I've heard of some people who want the diff virtually locked, but not fully,
using peanut butter. No sh.t.
