I'm looking at getting a Revo or a Tmaxx, I just want a durable bashing
truck that will pretty much stay stock except for maybe tires and shocks.

Any advice or other suggestions are welcome.

I have both & the Revo is the best!

A stock Savage will outperform and outlast a stock T-Maxx IMO any day of the
week.  I am amazed at the abuse mine will take.

What about Savage vs Revo?

I'm leaning towards Revo for my first Nitro at the moment.

Couldn't tell ya.  Never owned one, never seen one run.  Just remember, a
smallblock will never outperform a bigblock.  There's no replacement for
displacement.  They look like nice trucks, but geared more towards racing as
opposed to bashing.

Scotty, after all the Revo and Savages we have seen, it all depends of
what kind of "offroad" you are doing.  If you want to go all red neck
and bashing and jumping type, a Savage would be a better choice because
of the ground clearance and also the durability of the TVP chassis.  On
the other end, if you are interested in racing and quick handling, then
the Revo is a better choice for the suspension setup and the weight
savings.
