Looking at Nitro MTs

What do you guys think about

Thunder Tiger EK4     Vs      Traxxas Revo      Vs      HPI Savage

I'm not sure which one of these I want to get, this will be my first Nitro
MT and I was hoping to get something that would be quick on a track but also
able to tackle almost any off road driving I would want to do, since I don't
want to get it and then see another truck and wish I had boughten it
instead.

Also something durable and not likely to break with plentiful replacement
parts.  I know the Traxxas and HPI probably fit the durability and parts but
I'm not sure about the Thunder Tiger.

Or should I look into Buggys, I know they would be faster on a track but not
quite as versatile off road.

The EK4 isn't really suitable for these things, and its a bit of a
reliability nightmare.  The Revo (with a few tweaks) makes a very good track
truck, as does the Savage.  Both are very, very tough and will take a good
hammering.

Buggys are not really suitable for bashing, just racing, but they are the
best at that.

As a starter truck the Revo comes with almost everything you need to get
going very quickly, but personally, i'd go for the Savage.  If you're
feeling confident get the 4.6 kit and build it yourself, then you'll know
the truck inside out, and you'll have an awesome truck to boot !

Also was looking at the MT2 18SS  although I know it won't be able to do as
much offroad as the savage, right now I have a Rustler and while I like it,
I just ran with some nitro guys and now I'm kind of wanting a nitro truck,
I'm a little disappointed with its performance in the grass and some of the
areas near my house that I run in though, this is why I was thinking of
getting an MT.

I have a savage 25, t-maxx, and a revo.
I love the revo.....most reliable truck of the 3.

I have poured $$$ into the savage (xtm 24.7 engine, $60 clutch,
3-speed tranny, universal shafts, reverse modual, steering servo
upgrades, extra fuel tank, dual disk brakes, differential gear mods,
and the $1400 list goes on....

The revo is 100% stock and the only part I have ever broke is a lower
A-arm from hitting a mailbox.

The savage is now too loud to run anywhere near houses....

The t-maxx is a good truck also...I have upgraded to an OS-18 engine
and tuned muffler...it now flies.

If I had to do it again, I would never buy the savage truck...it is
not "out of the box" comparable to the traxxas trucks.

The Revo comes with good brakes, good tires, plenty of power, and a
much better starting system than the savage truck.

I know lots of people love the savage....and I have tried to make it a
great truck, but even with all the upgrades, the revo keeps going when
something breaks every time I run the savage.

Savage.
Metal CVDs
Metal Gear Tranny
4Spider Gear Diffs
Big Block
Optional 3Speed
Easy choice.

I would however like to see an EK4 S2 with a 2spd tranny.
The EK4 is basically an EB4 Buggy with MT suspension and a .70 motor.
Thunder Tigers are tuff as nails but parts are not likely found locally.
I have had my EB4 for about 5 years now and only replaced 2 wheel bearings
and retied the pullstart once.
