Awesome :)
I'd love for someone to build something near me, just so I can drive in a
pit like that! They are great pics.
Well I went up to the local reserve on the w/e with my mate. I figured I
could keep him occupied with my new emaxx while I muck around getting the
last tank through my savage and get it dialed in. Pity it had rained
heavily that morning so puddles to avoid and mud everywhere.
For starters that emaxx bloody rocks! The most fun electric truck I have
ever driven period, nothing comes close. The new 3000's I put in there are
insane, much more power and 25 minutes of runtime! Plus the thing wheelies
everywhere, rooster tails in 2nd, hoots, I love it.
Enter the Savage :) Now the tables turn, I start her up (this is the last
tank of the run in process btw) and drive her over to what we call "The
Rock" (basically a big arse rock with edges, ramps, drop offs, jaggered
bits, perfect for bashing a truck on) and let loose. This thing is chewing
up the dirt, ripping rocks out of the ground, leaving rooster tails going
*up* the bloody thing then launching off the top and getting nice air.
We had soooo much fun that arvo, he used up all of my 8 batteries, I put a
heap of fuel through the savage and we both left with massive grins on our
faces!
I'll be back this w/e for more, oh and DanTXD, if your reading this, both
trucks are DIRTY as all hell now :)
Cheers Dre

ROFL! I also put a massive dent in the roof cause of the roll bar. I only
mentioned to a mate of mine a week earlier when I finished spraying the body
that I was going to put a big bit of hard foam under there in case this
happens, didn't get around to it and WHAM, unattractive dent :) Oh well,
I'll just put a big sticker over it!

Notice what looks like a sunroof in the pics?...I had been putting foam
in the roof of the body for protection, but last time I played with the
truck before the pics, the roof cracked on a rollover... I cut two
pieces of lexan to somewhat resemble a sunroof and shoe-gooed them on
the outer and inner roof.I placed the body upside down on the cement
and set bricks on the inside roof and left it until it dried. I then
put a strip of foam back in the roof. Held up great last time I played
(pics).. I flipped the truck alot that day and the roof was
undented..the bed of the truck body however didn't fair as well..

Hi, yeah I did see that, the crappy thing in my situ is the fact that I
*was* going to put something up there, but I didn't cause I was too keen to
drive the thing, then I stacked it and dented the roof. Its now dented so
I'll have to leave it, good thing about this is now I dont care if I dent
the body more :) Bash body!!!
Either way, I'm thinking of getting another Jeep body at some stage just for
show (with no dents :)
Cheers Dre

Nice ride there. Places like that are great to run. Those tires you
have, how well do they hook-up on that surface? Looks like pretty dusty
condition. I like kicking up dust trails more than jumping at times.

Thanks to all for the comments..I enjoy this group and seeing some of you
guys RCs as well!
They are Team Orion MeatHooks..they fair pretty well in the dirt..notice
they are on backwards..they grab much better this way (by forming sort of a
paddle tire)
Placed on normally they slide way to easy...
The tires I prefer for dirt however are TRC PaqMan tires.
I am planning on getting a set of Dirt Bonz or Bow Ties next..
I also need to decide on rims as well..considering trying some 40's (23mm
adapter) or maybe some similar to your Quake ..Ofna Dominator (17mm
adapter)..or atleast another set of standard offset rims
(RPM,TRC,ProlineVelocity)...<so many choices,so little cash LOL>
Offset makes a world of difference, especially in cornering from what I have
seen with this truck as it's center of gravity is fairly high..
Yeah, Generally we play in dusty conditions. Rooster tails are way cool!
