Which is better build and good for backyard bashing ? I am talking both
vehicles in nitro . I was to get my son and I into nitro with a prebuilt and
use our electronics from our electric truck.
Any opinions on these two models ?
Thanks,

Is your backyard grass or dirt/gravel?  Neither of those two trucks will run
worth a darn in grass (not enough power or ground clearance) and will
overheat and grenade as a result.  Both are great trucks, don't get me
wrong, but they're designed to run on dirt/gravel/asphalt and not grass.  If
you'll be running on dirt, I'd go for the Duratrax simply due to parts
availability.  TH ST-15 only has parts support thru tower, wheras just about
every hobby shop on the planet is a Duratrax dealer.

If you're fond of Duratrax, check out the new Warhead MT!  Awesome!  I am
also fond of the HPI Savage and recently the T-Maxx as well (bud just got
one that really rips).

Just my $0.02.

Between those two I would definately go with the DuraTrax Evader ST...(.18
motor and readily available parts/ plan on upgrading the steering servo
though in a RTR) (me and my son have hopped up electric Evader STs to bash
with)...However you mentioned you had an electric Rustler, and if I had a
good quantity of parts for it that were interchangable, I would definately
get a Nitro Rustler.

Are those the only options? Those aren't brands that are really known
for their quality, but the price is good! I personally like Team Losi
(www.horizonhobby.com has them), but those differentials are a real
pain in the neck....
