Hi,

I've a 670rpm/Volt 600Watt Brushless motor and I want to use it for
an RC car. The problem is that the motor is meant for an RC-plane and
doesn't have any gears. Can I use it to power a car and if I manage to
do so what speeds can I expect. Thank You.

670 × 7 = about 4700 rpm, assuming you run it on a 6-cell pack.  You
don't say what the input voltage is for 600 watts, which makes it hard
to judge exactly what it'll do.

By car standards this is extremely slow-revving, so it would probably be
very good for rock-crawling but not much use for anything else.  A hot
modified will run beyond 40,000 rpm off-load, and most cars are designed
with gearing to suit this.

You also don't mention what size it is - 1/10th cars almost all use 540
size motors, so if it's different you'll at least have to make up an
adaptor plate.

HTH a little,
Jonny

If your numbers are right then simple math tells us 7.2v x 670rmp/v =
4,824rpm.

For comparison I have a Novak 5600rpm/volt brushless in my 1/10 4wd
buggy.  5600 x 7.2 = 40,320rpm.

Check your numbers again and if that's right then it won't work.

Oh yes. I have a Traxxas Stampede with the Novak SS5800 system. Man its
fun.

Your motor as to many winds and poles on it.
RC car brushless motors have only 2 poles.

The motor you have proable has more than then poles.  every poles supplyes
extra torque.  You need revs.
The motor seems more suite to 1/5 Electric car on 20 cells.  they exist
howerver (still ) not really popular
