Curious what is the correct pullstart from HPI that will crossover to an
Ofna Force .28?
Would I need the regular pullstart (.21BB) like for a Savage .25 or the
newer style like that would fit the 4.6?
I know the regular style HPI pullstart (.21BB) would fit all the Force
motors from Ofna in .21-.26,
but am unsure on the Force .28.........
The HPI pullstarts have always lasted much longer than the Ofnas in my
experience, hence the curiosity.. (before I purchase a .28)

Had a reply that someone is using the roto start from a Savage 25 on an Ofna
.28...
so that pretty much answers the question..

Whatcha puttin' the Force 28 on bud?  El Savage or the buggy?

I don't know the price of the Force 28, but for $129 I'd highly recommend
the Sportwerks/Dynamite Mach .26.  8-port, 2.75HP, 33,000 RPM. Simply put
it's the easiest to tune, most reliable, powerful big block mill I've ever
run or worked on.  It starts quick every time, will idle all day and take
off without bogging or stalling, holds a tune like you wouldn't believe, has
a VERY linear power curve and gets up to max RPM's FAST.  It will propel my
Mayhem ST from 0-50mph in under 4 seconds.  Runs 250-280 with stock head and
smokes like a freight train.  I could lean it out some more for sure but
there's no need.  I'm dropping one in my Savage over the winter (on my
Christmas list!).

I also have plans to <possibly> build a Twinzilla with dual Sportwerks .26's
over the winter.

Pending my current buggy selling...I will probably be getting a Ravager
which comes with a Force .28 and will immediately replace the Ofna pullstart
(which I have never had any luck with) with a HPI pullstart (which last
pretty long in my experiences)..
Other pending plans for the Ravager include:
Nova Cooling Head
and Optional 2spd!
Dominator Rims with Panther Komodo low profile Tires
CVEC pipe
(Hopefully one of my buds will fork for my current buggy, so it can all be
realized!)

You like the Ravager that much huh?  I'm assuming your buds is holding up
rather well?  I'm probably gunna grab a buggy in the spring and am stuck
between the Ravager and Mayhem Pro.  Ravager is MUCH cheaper which appeals
to my wallet, but the Mayhem buggy is a "known good" as I really like my
Mayhem ST.  I figure for next summer I'll be able to race in all three
classes (MT, ST and Buggy)!

Yup,
His Ravager is awesome..lots of power at will...he can pass our other
buggys (.21 Pro and Hyper 8) with ease.( and they aren't slow)  Handles very
nimble/stiff even with fully offset wheels/low profile tires. Jumps pretty
darn good too.
The Ofna .28 did run fairly hot with the factory head...hence the cooling
head does wonders..
Parts are easy to come-by, although other than a pullstart and steering
servo none has been needed by him so far after approx. two gallons......
Based on a 9.5 platform as well... Basically is an Ofna 9.5....
Supposed quick change center diff...( I like this idea to swap from 2 to
single speed fairly easy)
I like it alot so far from what I have seen.
But, I am sure there are much better buggies out there..although I would
give this buggy a great "bang for buck" value... (Glad I didn't settle for
an Ultra LX Comp earlier)...
I also noticed Ofna has a whopping .32 Force motor I believe coming soon!
Yep here..

Wonder how well this would do in a 2spd buggy? Vvvvvvrrrooooommmmmmmm  ;)

mmmm, 2 speed buggy :)

I really need to find out if the 2 speed from the Kyosho rally MP7.5 would
fit an Inferno MP7.5..  Either that, or see if one from an Ofna or something
will fit.  Atm, my Inferno will out accelerate the savage something
shocking, but the savage will hunt it down and pass in no time...

Cheers Dre

3+ HP and 38,000RPM to boot!  That little mill is gunna be awesome!  Big
blocks keep getting bigger and bigger............I wonder when it's gunna
stop?  I'm thinking they can't go much past .32 in a standard big-block
sized case or the block walls will be getting too thin for comfort.

Why even use a PS? There are other options!
