Hey all,

I was offered a 1/10 Kyosho Nissan 300ZX brand new Built but I have no
clue how much it's worth or when it was made. Any one out there have a
clue where to look? I already checked ebay.

I am thinking the 300ZX is just the body that is on it.  Bodies are
interchangeable, I can buy a 300ZX body and put it on dozens of
different cars.  I had a Lamborghini Diabolo body on a tank chassis
once.  You need to find out more about the chassis under the body
before I can even start to try and track down info on it.

It is actually a 300ZX that was sold by Kyosho. the same chassis was
sold with a porshe body as well.

Here are the pics that the person sent me.

Are there pages on old Kyosho R/C's? There are tons on old Tamiya's but
Kyosho info seems hard to find.

Thanks
Steph......

Wow, that is old.  Thanks for the pics.  It's nice to see older cars
still in good shape.

In case your have any thought of driving this thing, I think you can
already guess how hard parts will be to find.

If you want a collectible, then I think this would be pretty neat.  I
don't know why people are not into vintage Kyosho like they are Tamiya.
I could not find anything on it in the searching I did.

That's the Kyosho Ultima chassis, circa '85 to '87. That'll be nearly
impossible to get spare parts for, some parts for the Optima (the 4wd buggay
at the same time) were shared between the cars such as shocks, balljoints
etc.they might be a bit easier ot get hold of as there were more of those
sold. As for how much it's worth, it was probably originally sold for about
£100 (US$140) so use that as your guide.

If you do buy it please reduce the preload on the shock springs or put some
weight in the chassis, it looks silly sat that high off the deck!

so the next question would be, how much would this fetch on ebay?
I never liked Kyosho ever since I started in RC. They are pretty but a
pain to build. So I would buy it to sell it. Any Takers before it goes
to ebay(pending he takes my offer for it)?

Thanks again

So offer him 50% or less and see if they accept, that's the generally
accepted starting point for most 2nd hand r/c car sales.

I drive one of those in "real life" and just found l a 300 ZX body lik
that.  Those bodies are VERY hard to find new; I just paid $66 for on
(shipping included from AUS) on eBay.  Good luck
