In this subject, i'd like a half cage that will project the engine if anyone
has any experience or knowledge of one existing anywhere?  Preferably Delrin
as it won't break or bend, but i could be talked into Ti ;-)  Even better
would be if it wasn't offensively ugly...

I'm just wondering what the hell you guys are doing to your Savages that
produces the need for a rollbar (other than stock) or a half-cage for that
matter!  I beat mine mercilessly and haven't had the need for either of
those yet....................just curious?

I saw someone land on the concrete on his engine head and need a new
engine/plate/brace - it scared me :)

Landing incorrectly to often, off of extreme jumps!
I have basically stripped out all the holes that hold the factory roll bar
on now! (Not Good)
There HAS to be something better!
Drilling some holes in the chassis plates I feel will be a necessity!
I would rather bend chassis plates at a mount point than have to replace
tranny and rx casings!
Plus, the factory body has to fit!   =)

OK, I'm with ya' now.  I've done the same to my tranny case and radio box.
I thought we were talking short-term durability for massive impacts, not a
longer-term wear and tear type of thing.

Nuthin' a piece of 3mm 6061 or 7075 and a few 3mm bolts and nuts wouldn't
fix huh?  If it wasn't so damned cold outside I'd head to the garage and
make one up just for sh.ts!  I was actually thinking of making a few custom
TVP's out of 3mm 6061 stock, with zero unnecessary holes for added strength.
The custom roll bar would be a nice addition.  Would weigh a ton, but the
Sav isn't light to begin with anyhow.
