Howdy y'all (ping: Dre and DanTXD),
Ok, so I had a few hours to tinker with the beast this PM and decided to
yank the fuel tank and test for leaks (again). It was then that I noticed a
nice slime trail of oil running down the back of the motor from the header
gasket. $2.00 and a new gasket later she's running like a sonofabitch
again. I can't believe I missed something to farkin' obvious!
Got a Nova Race Pro head for my Mayhem from my sister as a X-mas gift and
installed that as well (looks sweet!).
So, I was gunna blow all my x-mas hobby bucks on a new mill for the Savage,
but it's running so good now I'm going to spend it elsewhere, like maybe a
Mini-Quake or Mini-LST. Also thinking of making a down payment on a
buggy...............
What did y'all get for x-mas!?

Not much truck wise for me really, a Hitec 625 servo which i've slapped in
the throttle tonight, nice and fast and gives some serious breaking. Took
her on the beach the other day, beach was empty, a few people stood on the
sea wall watch as me and a mate dragged along the packed, flat sand with
some massive top end. She sure was flying. It was dark, but the lamposts
and xmas lights on the sea wall lit it all up nicely with my new 17t clutch
bell providing me with a nice top whack :) I really should clean her
really....

I love running in sand, but hate it at the same time. It gets EVERYWHERE!

My room is covered :) The tide had been in a while before, so the sand
wasn't wet, just damp enough to all stick together like the Nevada salt
flats ;)

Little first-hand advice, hold off on the mini-lst too mini issues right
now. Issues are being addressed but all mni-lst out right now are bad in
some way. Once the issues are fixed (take pre-emptive measures) then the
truck seems pretty good.

Ahhhhh, thanks for the words of wisdom. Care to elaborate on what problems
they're having?

Known issues-
Bad molding for the hexes.
Wheels are warped.
Ball-ends popping of rather easily
F/c/r gears weak.
No grease put on the gears when built.
I feel the plastic used may be on the weak side too. Me and others have
broken the knuckles on seemingly light crashes.

Well well all may be well.
Just after posting the issues I went to one18th.com and saw that Losi
has an "update package" available.
Package has new hexes, new redesigned f/c/r gears and grease.
I called them up and package will be here 7-9days if not sooner
PLUS told them that 2 of my rims seem a bit warped so they included 2
new rims and 2 new tires GREAT!!!

Sounds like they're trying to keep folks happy at least!
