The battery in my starter box died. I neglected to by a charger for
it.Does anyone know anyway of charging a gel cell battery for one of
these?

If the volts have been allowed to drop to 9.5v or below (well even 10v) then
the cell has probably suffered permanent damage. You can try to use a car
12v charger to charge for longer (up to 13.5v in an attempt to put some
overcharge into the cell) and see if that recovers it but it will certainly
have lost some capacity if not all of its usable capacity.

For the hassle and considering the cost of most of these cells (I'm talking
about ones up to 7Ah not the car battery replacement ones at 50Ah or more)
you might as well buy a new one.
