i have an original RC10T truck i haven't run in years. i just dusted it
off and bought a set of 3700 cells for it and i'm thinking about
replacing the old aluminum chassis. who is making composite floors for
these now, and can i use a T2/T3 chassis?

don't dump a ton of cash into the thing. enjoy it as it is.

what's your goals with the truck? Racing? Bashing? Show Truck?

it's just a toy but i'd like it to go faster and i figured a lighter pan
would be the best way. i run a Kinwald 12T and a Tekin ESC it has a high
spd mtl gear steering servo, RPM suspension, oversize bearings, all the
stuff that was trick a few years ago. i thought i might be able to get a
composite pan for $50 or so...

RC10T4 Factory Team trucks sell for about $125 around here used.  I
bought a used T3 w/o elec for not much more then what you hope to get a
chassis for.  I agree with the others, I would enjoy it as is, or sell
it to a collector and get something to bash with.

To more directly answer the questions, no you can't use the T2/T3
chassis.  The T2 was a complete redesign.

As for who is making parts, RPM does make some arms for it and that is
all I know of.  AE does still have some old stuff in stock so you might
give them a call.

Keep an eye on eBay.  Every once in a while some shop decides to clean
out the "back room" and puts up vintage parts.

thanks for the advice guys. you're probably right that i should just
give this truck to one of my nephews and buy a new one. I'll take a look
on ebay and maybe pick up a used T4. i expect with the improvement in
fets over the last few years even my Tekin 610 speed control is a
dinosaur. -bob
