Here is a long shot.
does anyone here own a Tamiya Thundershot?
If so I would need real size scan of both sides of the Motor mount in
order to make my own out of aluminum. It is very important that that
scan be of high resolution but not altered in size.
TIA

What's your timescale? I've got a Thunderdragon - actually with an
MMS(?) slotted aluminium motor mount in it, IIRC, though presumably I've
got the plastic one somewhere in the box - but it's in my parents' loft!
I could probably get my dad to unearth it and then scan it next to a
ruler or something, so you can check the size...
LMK.

I once copied a chassis by scanning it with default Resolution and
printed it to see if it was true to scale. If you can scan and print a
rough copy you will be able to see if it is right or not. Scanning the
Aluminum one would do just as well too.

Maybe I will try to make a fully adjustable one instead. I will have to
take a hard look at the chassis to see if it's even possible.

That's what the slots are for in my alu one. I had to carve a hole in
the casing opposite so I could see the mesh, and then cover it with
tape.
