My suggestion would be to get used to that "horrible trigger and wheel
abortion" as there are many more options in that configuration!
To answer your question, you'd likely have to switch everything over (rx +
crystals) to get it to work.

You might be able to if your dual stick uses 27 mhz am transmission.
It's not for sure, though. You might order an extra receiver for your
radio just to be sure.
