I know its a silly question, but I missed it when it was new, got out
of the hobby around 1990, and just bought one on ebay without knowing
too much about the car.  I've gathered a little from the web, but
it's damn hard to get much detail.  I'm wondering first of all if any
version of the pro se came without ball bearings.  How competitive was
the jrx pro se compared to its contemporaries.  Also how many teeth
pinion came with it... and what is the best for backyard bashing with a
88tooth spur?

Anything else you can add would be great.  I'm pretty excited anyway as
its going to replace a slightly abused traxxas bullet, so should be
alot of fun in any case.

Thanks

No, the JRS-X is a road car, and your link is broken or the site is
just down.  The JRX PRO SE is a off road buggy.  I bought this thing on
ebay and until I get it I won't know what it has.. I don't have any
mags from that exact period, and there isn't any real info on the web
or in usenet.  I was kind of hoping someone around here would have been
around when this thing was new, about 1992 or so, and would have
sometihng constructive to contribute about this buggy.  But thanks for
playing anyway.

If anyone else wants to help though I'm still trying to find out what
15 things are different between the JRX PRO and the JRX PRO SE, besides
the chassis which is obvious.

Thanks.

The JRX-S Pro is a touring car.
I also can find no reference to the mentioned buggy.(JRX-PRO / JRX PRO SE)
Good Luck...

There's a bit of info on the Tamiya Club web site and one of the pictures
shows the box and says that there is only 14 different component changes.
Also a little more info on Google Groups from back in the mid to late 90's.

If your still not happy with the info you find why don't you give Losi a
call or drop them a email, I am sure they would be more than happy to supply
you with more information.

I was around in the early days when Losi entered the buggy arena but I have
nothing constructive to say about them,
Sorry

Cheers

Well thanks everyone for the replies.  I should have the buggy soon and
have access to a jrx pro, so if anyone is interested I could post what
I find out.

Cheers
