Both Revo and Savage are fine trucks that will take a lot of abuse. Savage
X is a lot easier to work on that regular Savage, Revo is very easy to get
to grips with but the Sav probably takes that little bit more abuse. Both
are good choices though, it just comes down to which you can get spares for
from a LHS easily if need be really. Actually, now I read back, Savage is
more suited to serious terrain like the woods, as it sits higher, and has a
better ground clearance.

Can't argue with the previous poster, but if you liked your T-Maxx's,
Traxxas just updated the model with the more powerful 3.3 engine, a
wheelie bar, and a much better transmission. There's something to be
said for familiarity.

Both are readily available, however the local shop has a LOT of traxxas
parts

If you liked your Maxx, then as Justin said, consider the T-Maxx 3.3.

The other thing to consider is that almost no other truck on the market will
have the simply ez-start set-up like your use to with the Traxxas trucks.
This being probably one of the most attractive features of all the trucks
available to date.
