No prob. Mount it where you can see the readout with the body on so you can
get realtime "driveby" readings. In my experience, a nitro engine will
overheat long before the smoke trail disappears and performance is maxxed
out ("sight" and "feel" methods of tuning), which is why I like to use temp
as a guideline for HSN settings. Under 300*, or even a consistent 300* is
fine. When I'm running oval track with my truggy or buggy (3/4-full
throttle for the entire tank of fuel) they'll both run in the low 300's and
I haven't had any issues. Under normal on-off throttle circumstances
they'll run 250-280-ish depending on the weather and type of plug I'm using.
Look at tuning this way: shoot for temps between 220-300, but use sight and
feel methods to get the best tune in this heat range.

Glad to hear that cause last time I took the Sav out, I couldn't get the
temp to move from 140deg C (up or down). I'm pretty dissapointed generally
with the K4.6 so dont care if it runs hot, when it wears out, means I can
get a better donk, the Picco in the inferno sh.ts on it and its only a .21
size. The thought of a Picco or similar .28 in it scares me and I love it
:)
