Plug throttle servo into failsafe, plug failsafe into throttle servo space
on the receiver - that's about it :)  You'll have to asjust it as well
probably to set where it goes to when activated (i.e. you want it to cut the
throttle and mash the brakes).  Usually there is a small screw you turn to
set this.

You may have to change the setup of the servo lead by changing where each
pin goes, depending on brand of radio and failsafe.

The pin-outs of servo leads are the <one> thing in this hobby that are
universal.  He won't have to change the pins at all.

Umm, I have an old Sanwa (I think) radio and that has a different pin
configuration.  Some of the older radios had them all over the place...

Now they might be universal but its taken a while to get there :)

Same here Dre, I still use some of my old radio gear just because its
reliable and thats why I thought I would mention it.

Some of the ESC manufacturers still include this information with their
manuals like Novak.  Just looked at the GTB and SS+ manuals and they both
include the information about change the plug configuration so I guess they
havent gotten with the times yet.

Cheers

That must be old!  They've been pretty standard since the late 80's!
