SWEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!
Been forced back in due to darkness falling, had the MTA4 out for the last
four hours. I ran the tank on idle for an additional 1 tank, which meant I
had run in a full two tanks on idle.
I then ran a further five tanks on a super rich setting driving around the
field extremely slowly - 10 - 15 mph ish.
After this, I brought the HSN in until the engine screamed at me, and then I
turned it back one quarter........
And then......I hit accelerate :)
IT WENT LIKE A ROCKET!!!!!! Got a good 90 minutes playing with it, too
nervious to jump or do any crazy sh.t, but I had fun. I hammered the break
at full pelt and tried to skid, which sent the truck tumbling - no damage.
I also managed to climb up and down a fair few 8inch kerbs, and whilst I
didn't get any wheelies, I did manage to get the front two wheels of the
ground JUST and no more - on soft grass.
I actually found it easier starting it with the PULL START as the drill is
useless should the battery drop to even a medium level of charge.
I have had so much fun and can't wait until tomorrow :)
Gary.
PS - I'm now in the doghouse, I had a pizza at the park in between tanks,
and forgot I had offered to cook my lady dinner followed by a trip to the
cinema....

Hahaha nice :-) My various 'oopsies' have been arriving in the post today -
but construction has been halted by the utter lack of a flywheel for my
knackered old engine :-(
Nevermind, tmrw, whilst waiting for the posty i'll strip the new project
down, fix the diffs and generally sort it out before hunting down a
flywheel. She might be running by tmrw evening...

Glad to hear that your getting some good play time for a change.
I warned you about those brakes, to much, to fast and it'll flip over
forwards.
You might find it hard to get the MTA4 to do wheelies. I spent a bit of
time playing around with my brothers MGT and even after some tuning I still
couldnt get it to lift the wheels for to long, how ever it seemed to jump
and land extremely well. The massive tyres and soft suspension dont help to
much but stiffening up the rear shocks will help it do wheelies.
Sounds like you need to get the better half involved in the hobby but the
only problem is that she'll probably end up having more fun than you and it
will cost you twice as much.
Cheers
