16.5 gallons and she's been laid to rest.  I took it apart after slapping
the new motor in there just to see what was up.  I've been leaning it
farther than I should over the past gallon or so to make up for the slight
decrease in performance d/t wear and the evidence was there.  Pitted piston
top and head button d/t detonation.  No biggie really, motor still ran
pretty well.  So I go to pop the piston and sleeve out of it to see how much
pinch is left and it will not budge.

Heat it up with a hair dryer to 150*.  Will not budge.

Heat it up with a heat gun to 200*.  Will not budge.

Put the block in my vise, heat it up to 200* and start beating the piss out
of the bottom of the sleeve with a screwdriver and hammer to knock it loose.
NOTHING.  Continue beating on it and actually cut right thru the bottom of
the sleeve with the screwdriver.  Now it's REALLY not going to come out!

So............in a matter befitting an engine that gave me it's
all...............I tossed it in the trash.  I kept the carb and roto
backplate (likely will end up on e-bay) but pitched the rest.  Nice 7075 alu
cylinder head but it was all gnarled up on the back d/t flipping over and
wouldn't fetch sh.t on the bay.

I was really hoping to be able to replace the piston and sleeve and just
hold on to it as a spare, but she had different ideas.

Hehe..
You could use the old Dremel tool on the 7075 head and shave out the
scratches and repolish it.

I had thought about that, but it's actually ground down a bit.  Are you
interested in it?  I can't remember if you're running a Nova head on your
S-25 or not.  This head is HUGE, and works quite well.  It's yours if you
want it.
