options for Traxxas 3.3 replacement?

I'm sure my 3.3 is gonna go soon.. at least after this winter when I
beat the heck out of it on the snow and ice. :)

I am wondering what options there are for direct replacements. When I
say "direct", I mean everything. EZ Start, mounth, clutch, etc.

I know the OS 18tm is a replacement. What about others? And how about
comparible or better power?

Not looking for anything that requires any kits. May just get another
3.3 since I'm still learning the tune thing. Darn Traxxas videos say
"tune the HSN leaner until there is no more performance gain, then go a
tad richer".

Well, I had it less than 3 turns and it was still getting better, but
obviously way too lean. I don't think that thing will ever cough or
sputter until your almost closed on the HSN.. lol..

If you have the money, the RB Concepts tm323 is a drop-in replacement
for the revo's engine and pipe. Comes with a motor mount, so you'll
have to make sure you get the REVO version (There's a TMaxx version
also). They also make the same kit with a more powerful motor (TM523),
but the 323 is quite powerful, and I don't know how much more usable
power can be had or if the added cost is worth it.
Check acehardwarehobbies for prices. .

I can't imagine that the extra power of the 523 is really worth the extra
money, the 323 in mine lifts the fron end easily hehe :-) They're great
engines, hold a tune spot on and give huge power. Although IIRC you have a
T-Maxx 3.3 - so make sure you get he T-Maxx version :-)

The other question would be whether the Traxxas 3.3 revo/tmaxx
drivetrain can handle big block power sufficiently without upgrades?

My kid's 2.5 revo does OK with teh RB TM323, nothing broke yet. .
