Well, I painted my first body.  It's a "one color wonder", but it sure
turned out nice.

I think next time I'll try a fade.  :)  I noticed that with cans it may
be pretty easy to do.

This is going to be my winter (snow) bashing body.  For these pics I
didn't mount it all the way, just plopped it on top of the frame.  IT
will sit lower and I have extended posts for the rear.  That black sure
is puurty!

Looks good man!  All of my painted bodies are one-color wonders.  I wreck
them so fast it ain't worh spending any considerable time making em' purdy!
You ever get that low-end bog problem figured out?  You never posted back as
to what the solution was.

Ya, I got it figured out.  It was the issue with following Traxxas'
tuning recommendation over use my own head.

They say "tune the HSN until there is no increase in power, and richen
1/8th".  Well, the 3.3 the leaner it goes the faster it goes.  Even with
good smoke and 270d temps.  So I ended up way lean on the HSN and way
rich on the LSN to compensate.

I got it tuned good now, the only problem is that last gallon at lean
settings kinda wore out the motor a little fast.  It will wheelie now
and then, and still goes fast, but not like new.  :)  Live and learn!

Here's mine, i did it a couple weekends ago. It looks MUCH better at a
distance than up close. Seems I didn't get the masking tape down hard
enough, and paint leaked under it, so the lines are not very crisp.
Also, it was a touch too cold for the paint, so it'd a bit delicate,
didn't bond well. Since I live in Alaska, it would have been till next
spring until it was warm enough for painting, so I just went for it.
I also got some metallic burgundy, but the can had no propellant in
it, , ,bummer.

Looks good either way.  I was told by a LHS guy that you should use a
heat gun on all the tape/stickers to make sure they're down good.  I
didn't do it but I only had window stickers and they seemed to stick
pretty good.

I started doing a design on mine but ran into issues where I didn't
think the lines would work out.. so that's why I did one color..  then I
figured the stickers would help liven it up a bit.
