Wheelies are back on the 3.3!

I found the issue.

The other day I was driving around.  I thought I heard a squeaking from
the driveline.  I checked my RDL CVDs and they were hot to the touch!
Measured over 130f with my temp meter. I clean and oil them every run.

Now, she's been running really doggy.  Slower, wheelies have been gone
since gallon 1,  I figured my engine was on the way out.

For S&Gs I put the stock drivelines back in.  WOW.  100x better.
Wheelies are back (both from the start and power wheelies while moving),
she revs out WAY past what she did before, revs quicker under load, is
way faster (probably hitting 40+ now!)

RDLs in this case were just junk.  I'm stickin with stockers.  I don't
think this thing has ever run this fast!  :)

The only problem is now, I've flipped it a few times turning around
now.. lol...  only went through 2 hinge pins though.

So what was causing it??  did the CVD bind at the uni??  or did a grub screw
come loose??

The CVDs must have been binding from the getgo.  I trashed em quicker
than snot.. (actually sent them to someone who said he wanted them.. one
man's garbage....)

I couldn't believe the difference.

Of course, now I blew the front diff.. got 2 new ones on the way.  $28
shipped!  Killer deal!  :)  I thought it would have been more fun with
just RWD...  Not really that bad.. seeing as how the front wheels are
normally off the ground anyhow.. lol.

The only thing I feel bad about is making my 3.3 work that hard for so
long (3 gallons!)  Then again, probably good for breakin.. lol

Nice!  I've never had a CV bind up like that, especially that bad it was
robbing power!

I personally wouldn't worry about the engine, nitros can take an awful lot
of abuse.  It allways amazes me when I see the insides of them, it doesn't
look like it will hold up to 30,000rpm, but it does day in day out!

Well, once I figured out little to no color on the plug is good, they
seem to run a lot longer.  Before I was running it way lean...  had
brownish on the ring and black on a little spot on the side of the
exhaust port.

I found get er good and hot and she runs really good "richer" that I
would think.  I guess before I didn't have the pacience to get er hot
first.. lol

I found the same last night when I finally got a chance to run my Savage.
For starters it wouldn't start (the rotostart was going off its nut though
since I put one of the zilla batteries in there :) so I set the needles back
to my "base", no start still, this time I tried over priming it,
wahhaaaaaaay, ring a DING!

Okay so she's running, the idle is back doooooooowwwwwnnnn loooooow, so up
the idle screw and she's running sweet, except now a lot richer high end and
low.

Before I go on I have to state that I changed the air filter over the a high
perf one as well as the clutch springs back and the re-tune so again I
bloody changed too many things at the same time :)

Either way, she's running sweet now and the next time I take her out I'm
going to go to an grass oval near by that allways has very short grass.
Gonna do some high speed runs and wheelies etc.

While doing all this, I had the body off (naughty naughty) and flipped it
over sideways.  I bent the bloody roll bar over a bit, doh!!!!

Cheers Dre
