Dear all,
I used to post an FAQ in these groups a few years ago. It can still be found
here <ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/faqs/models/rc-cars/newbie-guide> and here
<http://www.faqs.org/faqs/models/rc-cars/newbie-guide/index.html>. For personal
reasons I had to give it up, and I handed the FAQ maintenance over to Kerry G.;
the announcement can be found here
<http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=3DFBF361.51235511@myrealbox.com>.
Kerry made a few _minor_ changes, hung the FAQ on his website here
<http://www.wildhobbies.com/newbie-guide.html>, and probably forgot about it. I
had no idea that he had no intention of going through with posting the FAQ to
Usenet. I tried contacting him several times (this message is BCCed to him as
well), with no reply back.
Since the FAQs are still stored at the above two locations, as well as archived
on Google groups, every once in a while someone finds it and mails me
corrections or some other query. For personal reasons I am no longer involved
with the hobby. I would prefer the FAQ get handed over properly to someone who
has the time and intention to maintain it - and make no mistake, maintaining an
FAQ on Usenet does take some time. Hence the point of this message. If someone
were willing to take over it _properly_, then I could help that person out on
what and how to get it done. If you would like to see first what it is you are
getting into, have a read through the guidelines here
<http://www.faqs.org/faqs/news-answers/guidelines/>.
If nobody comes forward, then I will request that the FAQ gets purged from the
above two sources - I do not believe that Google will actually purge it however.
SiKing.

Hello,
I used to maintain the FAQ models/rc-cars/newbie-guide. I have handed the FAQ
over to someone else, but unfortunately, this new maintainer does not feel like
doing any of the work. Below is the most recent posting
<news:45B9FFD6.7040406@noway.invalid> to the affected groups, requesting help.
This posting has gone unanswered. I would therefore like to request that the FAQ
models/rc-cars/newbie-guide be deleted from the *.answers archives.
Thank You.
