I have a TXT-1 but I'm fuming I've used it about 4 times and had to
repair it three times LOL! So far I've found every repair has been
something I haven't tightened properly except for the rotten rear
steering servo which keeps slipping cogs. Oh well, I keep saying to my
mates that I would have done better to buy a nitro vehicle and convert
it to brushless. That way I'd have a stronger vehicle but with the
benefits of electric power. Oh well, maybe the next generation of
electrics will start being made more robust as the brushless motors
demand more from them.

Lose the s and search for charger instead :) - or search for mrc 977 -
it's the charger I bought through Tower and it's awesome - does 2
batteries simultaneously.

Something must be wrong, because Tower still sells a lot of
different chargers. Looking at a recent flyer, there are
over 15 chargers listed plus some others in the "text only"
section...

I just did a search for CHARGERS and it came up with 5 pages of chargers, so
you must have been at a different Tower Hobbies website or you spelled
chargers wrong. I also tried CHARGE, CHARGES and even CHARGING came up with
one charger.
Cheers

Still have two electric Evader STs...however, yes, the nitro dominates...not
trucks though... buggies!
The electrics are always still good for late night RC!

i race 1/10th touring, had a season of tamiya minis and now 1/14th
sportworks recoil are appearing at the club. bloody things run like they're
on rails, and compete alongside the 1/10th. we beginners do about 18 laps
or so in our 1/10th and this bloke came along and did 21. Out of the box no
hop ups.

We race Xrays for out 1/10th scale electric. We also have a Recoil. It's
a GREAT product. One of the best things about a Recoil is that you can
race it on both 1/10th scale tracks and 1/18th scale tracks.

As more people are buying these as a 2nd car the club is thinking of running
a heat or two. however they have to remain completely stock. This is a
problem as they are 27mhz recievers so only 7 can race. The receivers have
a speedo built in so to run a 40mhz or spectrum you also have to buy a
speedo. you then end up in modified. The tamiya minis are run strictly
stock. We've only just allowed aluminium parts to be replaced by the more
easily broken plastic bits. Durability upgrades are allowed, speed ones
aren't.
I'm still trying to solve the chronic grip roll problem in my tc4. I'm the
only one still running a tub tc4. Most have bought the carbon chassis, it
looks more like an xray then but without the belt drive.
I've raced at watford where tc4 where run alot along with losi xxxs ,
leighton and aylesbury run carbon tc4 and corally rdx. Rdx is thought to be
the superior car. At ware schumacher is the car of choice with xray coming
second and tc3 tc4 and losi not far behind. The problem with shaft drive
seems to be torque steer. Most drivers at leighton and aylesbury start with
tc4 and move up to corally rdx.
No doubt i will do the same, tub to carbon fibre plate then xray or
corrally. Most xray drivers are complaining about lack of parts
availability. Most hobby shop owners are complaining about Mirage "UK
distributor" service and delivery.

Sorry I took so long to reply. Here is the info:
Revo 3.3 converted from nitro to electric. Custom-machined motor mount
used along with stock enging mount. Custom ESC mount and battery tray,
the latter hacked from a TC3 chassis. Stock throttle servo retained for
mechanical brake (REVO transmission has a one-way bearing inside that
prevents ESC braking. Novak HVMaxx 4.5 system with eMaxx pinion. Stock
REVO spur gear swapped for EMaxx spur and chassis clearance machined.
Two 3200mAh 7.4V LiPo batteries (also runs great on Sub C cells).
Other than that, just lots of wire routing and fitting. The car is a
blast and will outrun a gas powered REVO any time. I've done a lot of
chassis housekeeping since the photos were taken, but the layout is
basically the same. I need to come up with a stronger battery mount,
but this one's working fairly well so far.
