I have a TC4 RTR package from Team Associated. I also have an
Aitronics MX3 remote. However I do not have the receiver or
crystals. I am trying to complete the radio setup to replace the
stock radio in my car and I have a couple of questions.
1. My remote freq #87, it is a 75mhz radio system. I need a receiver
that can do freq #87 right?
2. How do the crystals come into play? Do I need freq#87 crystals?
Can I use different crystals in my radio and whatever receiver I buy?
3. If I wanted to go to my local track and someone else was on 87,
would I be able to swap crystals and use a different channel?
Thanks,

Yes. It needs to be airtronic's compatiable and 75MHZ. There's two ways
to do it:
Buy an Airtronics 75mhz receiver and a channel #87 crystal. You can also
buy a Novak XXL that is airtronic's compatiable and a channel 87
crystal. You can also buy a synthesized Novak receiver XXXL, and just
dial in channel #87.

They are made in FM and AM, in 75mhz and 27mhz (USA(. You need crstals
made ofr your radio system.
>Do I need freq#87 crystals?
You need crystals that are made for 75mhz Airtronic radio in channel 87.
> Can I use different crystals in my radio and whatever receiver I buy?
they need to be made for your radio though. This company has more
affordable crystals than the stock ones:

Yes, that's the whole point. If you go to a track always have more than
one channel just in case someone might be using your channel.

Stick with the stock setup until you can afford a spektrum system from
horizon hobbies.
