Hi all,
I'd like some of your opinions about good websites to order RC parts.
So far I've only done business with Tower Hobbies.  But, Tower doesn't
carry everything and their prices are higher than some other RC
websites.

So hopefully for my benefit and the benefit of everybody else on
r.m.r.l. - I'd like to compile a list of good RC websites and also
grade them for comparison.  For grading purposes we'll use 1 to 10 - 1
being "horrible" and 10 being "Great!".  (When grading, consider
everything good and bad - and then pick a number that represents "the
whole picture")
One other thing - please don't add your sob story that nobody wants
to read, just figure it into your grading number and post the website.
If you do add some comments, please keep it real short.

The more opinions posted, the better.  So I'll start it off...

Towerhobbies.com  - 7   Professional, but little savings over the LHS.

Horizon Hobby - 6 Not as good as tower, but sells the other side of the
rivalry.

http://www.ultimatehobbies.com  has the lowest prices on kits I can find
anywhere, check them out - you'll see. their website sucks however which is
a bad thing if you need to get parts for the kits. you need to look at
another website like tower to get a better description on their items if you
don't know what you're looking for. shipping is done through ups and timely
on the 3 occasions I dealt with them.

I give them an 7 and that's because of their low prices which counts for a
whole lot right? their rating would be 9 if they put more effort into their
site and made the order form secure. to get 10 they would also have to
list/sell more kits from different manufacturers too.

Actually, they have alot more than their website shows.  Give them a
call and they can probably hook you up with whatever you need.

you guys ever been to http://www2.mailordercentral.com/quantummodels/  ?
they have free shipping on anything over $100. its mostly catered to the air
guys but they do have car stuff. i ordered from them too and it was a smooth
transaction as far as shipping. check their scratch and dent section for
really good deals every now and then. one time they had fail safes for $15
in their stock reduction section. just browse them every now and then
atleast.

6 because its really an air site in my opinion and they lack pictures. also
that side bar stays there and makes viewing the site seem cramped on my 15
inch monitor.   :)

I finally ordered my RC parts from ultimatehobbies.com and from
hobby-warehouse.com.  My ratings for each are:

Ultimatehobbies.com - 8   because of the really low prices.

Hobby-warehouse.com - 7
