Heh..  I like eBay for RC stuff!  =)
I regularly pick up stuff for 50 to 75% less than the LHS.

I do better, much better on the for sale forums of rctech.net

I've had too many ebay deals go to crap not to mention it's an "auction"
and all of the bull that comes with that. on rctech you find what you
like pay a fair price and you are done. Of course it's good if you are
in the US.

Yeah, I have several reputable sellers that I use, and simply use "buy it
now".
Pretty easy,no problems and saves alot.

Don't go looking in the Aussie for sale section of RC Tech.

I pretty much don't even bother posting in the Aussie section due to the
lack of moderators. I think there's one and the last time he was on was
about 3 weeks ago.

Did I mention I'm in the USA?

Why do you need a moderator in the for sale section of rctech? Or are
you talking about another place on rctech that I'm not familiar with?

Threats of violence, personal details being given out. Your right, the for
sale sections don't need moderating.

please point me to where any of this has or is happening on rctech.

I've never seen it.

well I guess i've now seen it. I've never seen any dialogue like that on
the open for sale topic.

Do you guys use the "trader feedback" area if you are dealing with
someone you've never heard of before?

Since selling the items, people have posted in the trader feedback section
about the matter but if you had a read through you would have seen that some
of the people had paid for the items over a month ago but the seller
continued to re-advertise them on other forums.

Now I hope you can see the reason for the need for moderators in the for
sale section.

I've spoken to a few people who have sent emails and pm's to the head
moderators for RC Tech in regards to the lack of moderators and the
behaviour of some of the people and nothing has ever been heard back from
them or been done about it. Its like they don't care.

Same here, after 250+ buys on ebay, everything from RC stuff, Comp.
parts, tools, , I've had only 1 bad deal, and that was just someone that
shipped much slower than advertised. Back a few years ago, it was
absoloutely the BEST place to buy tools. I used to search the tools
section for words like "Starret measuring thingy", which usually meant
it was some woman selling off her Ex husband/boyfriends tools. I got a
brand new set of Starrett 8-42" tube-type inside micrometers for less
than $30 to my door. They retail for over $350.00. My old boss bought a
new set of Mitutoyo Outside mics, individuals in a gang box going from
6"-7" all the way up to 17" - 18" for $400, Retain on those is something
like $4500. .

Agreed!  I've had hundreds of great experiences on eBay and two out of
five bad ones on RCTech.  Go figure.

I think everyone is missing the point That false advertisement! Its not
a LOSI forsale! Its a crappy KYSHO PREFLEX. They don't make that car no
more. No slipper clutch.
