is there any reason to swap radios on my Revo?

For everyday bashing in the back yard just keep the stock radio.

If your racing with your Revo then there are several reasons to upgrade the
radio system.

2.4 ghz Spektrum (or similar) is a good place to start as you wont have any
problem with frequency clashes with other drivers.

*EPA - End point Adjustment
*Dual Rate - lets you adjust the end point within the preset end point on
the fly
*Exponential - response rate
*Sub-Trim
*Lap Timer
*Anti-Locking brake system
*Model  Memories - so you only need one radio for all your
cars/trucks/buggies

Other top end radios like Nomadio can run onboard telemetry sensors so you
can see things like speed, temperature and battery voltage in real time on
the hand controller. And when racing has been rained out you can connect
this controller to the USB port on your computer and play games with it. :-)

thanks for the reply!

so far i have tried to stay at the track and practice my corners and
control... still haven't put it in a race yet... sounds like i'll have to
look into a new radio someday though..

thanks again.

I found a spektrum radio system on eBay for cheap, new, with a 2nd
receiver included. This makes it nice if you have more than one ride,
since you can program up to 4 into the radio. they really are nice
radios. I got mine for around $220 shipped, but a quick look shows they
are going for a little more these days. .

That was a DX3, DX2 is there also, but along with one less channel, I
believe there are other options missing compared to the dx3.

The DX2 and DX3 have the same features for channels 1 & 2. The 2 only has 2
model memories and the 3 has 4 memories.

The only extra features that come with the DX3 is the 3rd channel mixing
function or if your not using the 3rd channel you can used the 3rd channel
button for a lap timer.
