I live in Alaska, and I can not believe how many eBay auctions, by
people that live in the US, state that they only ship to the continental
US, even though the buyer pays the shipping, the REAL SHIPPING COST.
Half the people I ask seem like they don't even realize Alaska is a part
of the United States. It just seems so f-ing stupid, to alienate one or
two states just because, , well, I've heard no good reason so far,
besides "we just don't ship there". How f-ing lame.

On the flip side do you realise just how many of you in the good ol'  US of
A think that UK is a state in merka? It really annoys us Brits when we setup
UK only auctions and get bids from Merkins who then complain about postage
costing more than the goods because they don't realise that the stuff is the
opposite side of the Atlantic Ocean to them!

Yea, I know. So many people here, for so long, have no clue that
anything except the moon exists outside the USA, and now it seems like
they can't see past their own state. We have some real geniuses over
here, I tell you.

The funniest thing about it, is that and alarmingly disproportionate
amount of them seem to be based in Texas. . I used to Live in Texas,
twice actually, and honest to god, I knew 2 schoolteachers that SWORE
that Alaska isn't a state (and neither was Hawaii). They admitted to the
fact there was 50, but couldn't come up with the 50th on a map. Both of
them sword DC was one, but still couldn't explain the statement
"continental 48 states". I honestly think they did it so Texas would be
the biggest. They're lucky Alaska doesn't get cut in half, , then Texas
would be the THIRD biggest state.

My USA shipping terms... 48 states?...NOPE...there are 50!
Alaska and Hawaii...both great places, and states!
Heck Yeah! Part of the USA and I will ship to them...(maybe cost me $1- $2
more sometimes, not all, but who cares?)
However, I personally DO NOT claim Puerto Rico as part of the US, and will
NOT ship there!
No Habla Espanol. Habla Ingles!

...or the rest of the world.

"How much is shipping to Denmark?"
"Sorry we don't ship to Denmark"

(They properly think that Denmark is a city in Alaska )

I just found the best one yet, in "Item Location", it states "God Bless
America", , but they don't ship to Alaska or Hawaii, , so I guess they
mean "God bless America, , ,EXCEPT , , for those two state we're to
stupid to find on a map. . . ". Believe me when I say I understand why
most of the rest of the world hates Americans. . .

I dont think the rest of the world hate Americans as in the people
themselves, the president and politicians and a lot of American companies
(ebay being one of those companies) leave a lot to be desired but the
people, your ok. :-)

But while on the subject of ebay, I am sick of the stupid prices people
quote for postage. One item the other day $87 postage for a $50 buy now item
that weighs less 500 grams inside Australia, WHAT THE! ! !

And the spamming advertisments we're getting on ebay here is just stupid,
its almost as bad as the old days of searching for anything on google and
always getting a porn site. "Photos Of Cute Girls" "Browse photos of cute
women near you. Chat, IM and Date free!".
