I did the first tank of 6, but its too dark to see, should I just put up
some lights and finnish or am I OK?

I took about 3 days to get all 6 tanks through.  I couldn't figure out the
carb and it kept dieing.  my truck (revo 3.3) is running great now.

I thought I read somewhere that you're supposed to let the engine cool down
between tanks.

You're OK, you're supposed to let it cool completely between tanks for
the first few tanks (make cure the piston in DOWN in the cylinder while
it cools).
