my job is transferring me down there and i'm looking for a track. i found
one (Timberline) that looks awesome but they are only permitted to run 19
races a year and no practice days. the other one i found (in Pleasant Hill)
has better hours but will be about a 45 minute drive.
im just starting to get into racing and love it. i really dont want to just
limit myself to my own backyard.

My son and I used to race at the Pleasant Hill track, and it is a nice
facility. Steve, the owner, has made improvements every year, and there
have been many national competitions there. It would be worth a 45
minute drive.
I'm not familiar with the Timberline track, so I can't help you there.
There is a place in Blue Springs that has an outdoor on-road track, an
indoor off-road track and an indoor carpet oval track. Since it's
indoors, I think it's limited to electric, i.e no nitro except for the
outdoor on-road.

I just moved from KC to Springfield. I saw a track at 47th and Blue
Ridge, but I don't know if they're still there. That's at the north end
of Raytown, but I think it's in Kansas City.
