iv recently bought a thunder tiger ssk v1 and it was fine when i first used it but now it seems to have a mind of its own it revs and steers on its own and what i do on the radio seems to have little effect iv asked a few model shops and they have told me to put foam under the reciever and iv done this plus all fresh batteries but it still twitching revs high then low and the steering twitches left to right i really cant get my head round this it was an rtr truck so come ready to run with a jaguar 2 way radio iv checked thers no water getting in anywhere so im all out of ideas SOME1 PLESE HELP !!! > iv recently bought a thunder tiger ssk v1 and it was fine when i first used > it but now it seems to have a mind of its own it revs and steers on its own [quoted text clipped - 6 lines] > > SOME1 PLESE HELP !!! antenna on handheld all the way up? antenna attached inside the handheld radio properly? antenna wire not touching anything? receiver antenna all intact with no splices or cuts? radio battereis fully charged? running it somewhere there's interference? crystals in both radio and receiver pushed all the way in? all connectors pushed all the way into receiver? >> iv recently bought a thunder tiger ssk v1 and it was fine when i first used >> it but now it seems to have a mind of its own it revs and steers on its own [quoted text clipped - 22 lines] > > all connectors pushed all the way into receiver? AM radios sometimes do this, with the engine off, and radio system on, touch something metal to various metal parts of the car, , if the servos twitches in response, it's some weird interference thing. Try disconnecting one of the servos and see if that helps, I've had screwy or wet servos make this worse, as well as a wet receiver. I've had fairly new radio systems do this, and didn't manage to find a cure, I believe quality plays a huge role. As much as I hate telling a person to throw money at a problem, a Spektrum radio system will eliminate this completely. I've seen teh DX3 system on ebay with 2 servos and 2 receivers (you can use any servos though) for around $200.00 shipped. |
