My Traxxas stuff has been fine. Any substance to this, or just general
mindless Traxxas-bashing? just wondering.

Prior experience owning poor traxsux product. Just as you can say yours
has been fine without it being "mindless praising" Im saying mine sucked
and giving my opinion that to get rid of it- not "mindless bashing". He
can choose whatever to do. Im not going to waste his time trying to get
junk to run.
I shouldnt even have put Losi in there due to the crappy M-LST  The old
Losi when it was "Losi" made great stuff but since they left.quality is
going down down down. Horizon cares only about the name being put on any
rc that comes in the place.
The other brands that I have owned I have not had issues with.

Funny how some of ours runs fine, with little time spent, maybe it's not
the product after all, or maybe everyone whose Traxxas products are
woring fine are doing something wrong. Just because it was a waste of
YOUR time, doesn't mean it's a waste of someone else's time. YET, , you
WASTED your time posting in the first place. I still consider your post
mindless Traxxas bashing because of the fact you didn't even remotely
address the initial post. If it walks like a troll and it talks like a
troll., , ,well you get the idea. .

I didn't think you would reply intelligently, but I at least expected
you to do it MATURELY. I guess that's asking too much. .
QUAKEnSHAKE - 13 Mar 2008 04:00 GMT
And calling a person a troll cause their first hand experience & opinion
does not agree with you, is mature. You started with the personal thing
I left my reply to an object til you didnt.
You asked why I didnt care for traxsux I gave my reason and even
retracted Losi as an alternative based on my experience & many many
others with their protuct. A troll wouldnt bother.

The guy asked for advice on how to tune his truck, you started bashing
Traxxas because of your own incompetence and never gave the slightest
bit of help. Nowhere did I ask if you LIKED Traxxas, I asked why the OP
should give up on his truck. You used that as justification to vent over
your own inability to do what many others including myself HAVE done.
THAT, ,is a troll. Just like the babyish sh.t you replied in the next
thread. The fact is that if Traxxas were such junk as you say, NOBODY
would be able to use them. There are many of us who can and do, I don't
know what your problem is.
QUAKEnSHAKE - 13 Mar 2008 12:49 GMT
Lets see youre the one swearing calling me things like troll incompetent
babyish seems you are the IMMATURE one here. What your fanboyism got
your feelings hurt.
There is not any difference in my telling the op to ge a different
vehicle than the other person replying to get an electric. He still
basically saying get rid of it.
You didnt even help the guy in your first 2 replies you cried about
traxsus being putdown.
Yet you fixate on my post cause of your feable immature fanboy biased to
traxsux

Now call me names and swear at me some more FANBOY.

You can't get a simple rig working, that spells incompetent. You post
crap that doesn't answer the question asked, that spells troll. You
speak out against a product because YOU couldn't get it to work, that's
babyish.

It's called gathering information. Maybe you'd know that if you
responded with information, other than declaring your own incompetence.

Not a fanboy, just someone that can get their rig working. But, I guess
you think anyone smarter than you must be a fanboy. Keep trying. .
QUAKEnSHAKE - 14 Mar 2008 04:09 GMT
Want to point out where I said I couldnt get the traxsux product
running. It wasnt a matter of getting it to run but not to break.

Of all the brands I owned/own the traxsux product was the least durable
no other brand broke as easy racing it or bashing. My AE, Losi (except
mlst), Tamiya, Kyosho, Duratrax, Monogram, XTM Ofna all took more abuse.
Traxsux plastic was/is weak. A million maxx owners cant be wrong that
was the biggest complaint weak plastic.

Then you admit your reply didn't even remotely address the issue at
hand, , , and you still claim your post wasn't a troll.

What the EINSTEIN you think you are couldnt use your vast knowledge, of
getting simple toys to run, to help him. You had to look it up.
You must not know as much as you think you do. But then FANBOYS never
do. Oh Im sorry you quite possibly are a girl so FANGIRL may be more
appropriate and why youre upset. MY apologies for not being PC.

There's tons of info on the 'net on this, just search for "rc nitro
tuning" or "nitro engine tuning". Also, I believe Traxxas has info on
their site showing which needles are which, and baseline settings.

http://www.rchobbies.org/cars_eng-tuning.htm
http://www.rccartips.com/rc-nitro-engine-tips.htm
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3825/is_200211/ai_n9162390
http://radiocontrol.wikia.com/wiki/Nitro_engine_tuning
http://www.rc411.com/forum/archive/index.php/f-15.html

Read as much as you can, just to get the general idea, before you try
the truck again. If you can, take it to a hobby shop and usually,
they'll give you a quick lesson at tuning or other help, at least to get
you in the ballpark. HTH
brissyrcgarage - 13 Mar 2008 14:33 GMT
Firstly, take the time to read and understand the manual that came with your
new model, you will need to run the motor in if it is new, then it will need
tuning. dont listen to the traxxas bashing, there is good and bad in all
brands, I have personally had a lot of success with traxxas, and after all
they sell more models than ANY other single brand world wide. The nitro
rustler is a good starting point into the gas models as they are easy to work
on and parts are easy enuf to obtain, most hobby stores carry parts for them,
and ussually not too expensive. Have you run the engine in as per the manual ?

UH That would be TAMIYA much bigger than traxsux worldwide.
