Hi

firstly i am need to the world of nitro cars

I just got my first Savage X 4.6 (roto start)

I have been going through the break in steps.  the first point is
during the break with the HSN and LSN at factory setting.  I have
problems getting the car to start and keep running.  I would run for a
30secs (about that) then stall, when i stall the cars revs just
dropped, which to me sounded like it is/was to rich too on the HSN, i
know you arent meant to move HSN, but i moved it about half turn to
get the car to stay running.

I have run in a number of tanks staticly and up and down road (not
using full trottle)

I have lean of the HSN a little more which i think is right now.

the problem i am left with is.  The idle speed to me sounds high, I
have try to low the adle speed needle, but it is already out fully.
but when idle, it still stalls, the revs just slow down and the car
stops.  But if a rev the car as soon as i get it started, chuck a load
of smoke out and stays running for a while then revs start to slow
again.  I think its the LSN to rich, but the model shop where i got
the car told me never to make adjustments to the LSN.

Also when the car is running up and down the street it is chucking out
loads of smoke too.

Any pointers would be great ta

Thanks

Barry

Are you starting it up and warming it up with the wheels off the
ground? Are you adjusting the throttle on the transmitter? You mention
HSN and LSN, what about the Idle adjustment screw?
