I am building a robot using a RoboteQ motor controller. It has tabs o the RC plugs that prevent them from fitting into the RC receiver. Receiver brand is JR XR3i. In addition... be 100% certain that you are plugging them in the correct way after that. Depending on the wiring of the plug and the lead you can apply reverse voltage to the servo and fry it, that's what the tag is there for... to prevent reverse connection.
