Guns are so very similar to RC in many ways.  There is almost no limit to
what a guy can spend on tricking out an RC car, the same with a gun.  A guy
NEEDS to have several RC vehicles: an off road, on road, monster truck,
stadium truck, and then maybe the 4wd versions of all just mentioned.
Sometimes you want all out speed in a parking lot, sometimes some MT jumping
action in a construction lot.  Some bashers, some so nice they get minimal
usage.  The same with guns, you need a .22, a hunting rifle, a target rifle,
a shotgun, a revolver, an auto pistol, etc.  Some of them you shoot all the
time, others are so nice you only bring them out on real nice days.  Sure
you can only use one at a time, but you need one for every occasion.  It
seems like people who are into any of my hobbies are likely into all of my
hobbies, so, you into guns also?

You bet.

I see a lot of overlap between guns, RC, and motorcycles for some
reason.

Firstly, not all of us are guys on this list.  :)  Secondly, they all
annoyed my soon to be X Hubby too!  <sigh> He didn't even want a simple 12
gage and I won't even get into what he thought about bikes.  However, we
were able to agree on the ham radio gear and the high tech toys!  I'm too
old for a bike, so I'm giving a trike with a pop up serious thought.
Something about camping, venison, fishing, venison, and did I mention
venison?  Strange ... he enjoyed venison, but he has problems with the idea
of hunting.

I mounted a small .10 caliber cannon on to my R/C battleship.

I got fined 500 dollars when he caught me using it to shoot at beached
cray fish

I've got two gunshot wounds - one in the groin and one in the back - and
that was from a ND on a well controlled range.  God you Yanks scare me...

Over the years, I have been *sport* shooting in several different environments.
Indoor, outdoor, short range, long range rifle, and a few "gauntlet" ranges
with pop-up targets.
I have NEVER seen a single injury, nor even HEARD of a single injury at any of
these ranges.
 And YOU were shot twice?
 In a CONTROLLED environment?
Well buddy, I gotta tell ya, I had to laugh when you added THIS line:

I was at one of the local ranges not long ago taking a concealed carry
class.  One of the other students (a medical doctor) was standing beside me
while we were shooting targets.  He was shooting a .45 acp, and was a new
shooter.  The instructor was ordering us to load X amount of rounds, shoot X
rounds somewhere, then giving reload instructions.  Well, upon the reload
instructions, this doctor next to me fumbles around with his gun and FIRES
it into the ground next to my foot!  It really shook him up, he could have
easily wounded or killed me or another student. It is scary that today he
probably carries his gun with him in public.

Good question.  Yes, I personally am into RC, guns, motorcycles, and cars
(as in Audi S4).

I have:
3 off-road RC and 3 on-road rc cars
3 hand guns and 3 rifles
A Yamaha WR400 dirt bike
A 1979 Corvette

I guess I'm the typical R/C, gun, bike, car personality type (aka nutcase)!!!

Jerrit :-)
