Hi I have been lurking on this group for a while and I have a question.

Does anyone know how to get a copy of the manuals for an 8300 amb
lapcounting system.  We are trying to get a track up and running that has
been shut down for over eight years.  I have emailed amb but have not gotten
a response as yet.  Does anyone belong to a club that has this system and
can help me out with a scan of the manual especially the setup portion of it
kind of hard to figure out where all the wires go and I think we are missing
at least two.

Actually I did talk to Dave in their office very helpful but they don't have
the book for one that old.  He very nicely sent me the pdf for the 20
system. not quite the same. I am going to look at it and see.  But the right
one would be better so the request still stands .

Thanks for the idea though.

Two places I know that have AMB, one is a track:

Leisurehoursraceway.com, in Joliet Il. You can find the guy who runs the
track in the Trinity forums...search for bubbacola, in the leisure hours
thread at Techtalk.

The other is a hobby store here in Chicago who is currently not using
their AMB, but I know they have it, and maybe they have a manual:

Stanton Hobby Shop, Chicago IL, send email to
mike.....stantonhob@aol.com, or call during the week, days, and ask for
John. Tell him I told you to call and that you need help.

The INDY RC model boat club in Indiana, USA bought the IMPBA
AMB 20 system for low $$$$.  I don't think they are using it. This
particular AMB was  specially built as a dual system that works over
a 75 foot wide boat front chute. They have a red and orange set of
TX and a 20 position charger.  IMPBA used it for only a few years,
then sold it. I bet it could  be bought for $1500. I have a copy of
the
manual I may be able to scan if needed.
