Different fuels burn with varying levels of heat, power and lubrication.
Essentially, the piston and cylinder will 'fit' themselves gradually at break-in, until
youve reached your rough running tune. That rough tune gives you a small range of running
temp and lubricity.
Go and change that, and you'll have to briefly break it in again so the engine will fit to
the new fuel properties. Remember that the aluminum piston and brass cyl expand at
different rates. You wanna be running at the perfect temp to get lotsa compression without
wearing out the bore.
Some say all this is a load of crap - just use whatever fuel is on sale.
Personally, i stick to Blue thunder 20%
I wouldnt object to running something different, i'd just go easy on it for a few tanks.
