HPI Racing Clutch Problem

I recently installed a HPI Racing Clutch.  Followed the instructions
for installation.  Installed the clutch on the mid range holes.
Everything went fine.  Put the engine back in my RS4 RTR 3 and had no
problems.  When I tried to run my car this is where I noticed the car
was not running right.

The clutch emits a high pitch whine when I give it a little gas.  Once
I let off the gas the car stills wants to go full throttle.  Maybe
these are two separate problems but I will post this anyways.

I checked the throttle linkage and it was functioning correctly.

Anyone have any ideas what is wrong.

More likely metal to metal rubbing.
usually its the spring protruding past the shoe and cutting a trench in the clutchbell,
sometimes the bell is too close to the flywheel.
the "still wants to go full throttle" bit may be from RF interference caused by the metal
rubbing, but interference is usually more 'glitchy'
Id investigate engine problems as well. An old kyosho POS engine i had was sucking air
through the front bearing. When you let off the throttle quickly, the vacuum increase
would pull air through - giving you a sudden lean condition. the engine would actually
speed up when you closed the throttle!
