Guys, I need your help.

Ive popped over here from the Helicopter forum as I'm looking for
advice on my next project.  I have access to a CNC laser cutter and
have produced almost 200 sets of side frames in Ali for the Eco 8
helicopter.  I have noticed that several 1:10th scale IC cars have flat
chassis plate, and would like to see if there is enough interest from
you guys if I came up with an alternative to the stock part, and
require help as follows:

1) - what is the most popular off the shelf car that has a flat plate
chassis - Kyosho ??

2) - Obviously strength and lightness is a requirement, any other
suggestions

3) - we can anodise them in a selection of colours - Purple, Turquise
and Red to name a few - what would you prefer.

Please e-mail me any feedback to malcolm.crabbe(at)ntlworld(dot)com
(sorry for the spelling of the email, but I already get plenty of spam
!

Cheers

Most rc car frames have some kind of *bend* in them somewhere... ususally along
the side edges, for extra strength.

In order for your product to be an "UP-grade" it would have to be cut
perfectly, all holes drilled in the exact positions...  made for
counter-sinking the screw-heads, AND
somehow stronger.... better.... and CHEAPER than the manufacturers original
equipment replacement part.
That's a pretty tall order, for anyone to manufacture in limited quantities.
Good luck though.
